About the Show

New experiences, new seasons, New Shoes! Through playful puppetry and Catalan folk song, tender storyteller Tian Gombau unboxes the tale of young Tracalet, who discovers the people and places of his hometown while on a journey to enjoy a piece of cake. With each step and every encounter, he learns and grows a little more, because—big or small—we never stop growing.

A small wonder that is impossible to resist

Things to Know

  1. This show will be performed at New 42 Studios, just down the block from the New Victory Theater, in a welcoming studio setting where toddlers can be themselves. Seating options will include floor cushions, low benches and chairs.
  2. Every performance of New Shoes contains singing in Catalan, but the 4pm performance on November 9 will have dialogue in Spanish rather than English, as indicated by the ES symbol on the calendar.
  3. Tian Gombau has produced and performed shows for young audiences all over the world, touring across 47 countries on 4 continents in 10 different languages!

The show on stage is just one act of your experience! Come early or stay late for free lobby activities on the day of the show.
