About the Show

The whimsical world of Night Light wakes up when the sun goes down. Set in a cityscape made of miniature furniture, this poetic piece of object theater delivers delightful discoveries for very young audiences. Cozy up to the comforting charms of New Victory favorite Andy Manley (White, 2011 & 2015) and Teater Refleksion (The Way Back Home, 2017).

An exquisite, captivating instance of children’s theatre at its best

The Herald (Glasgow)

Things to Know

  1. This is one of three shows this season created especially for the very young. The other two are Grand Soft Day and Four Go Wild in Wellies for ages 2 to 5.
  2. Over the years, Andy Manley has brought many shows to the New Victory, including White, Black Beauty, The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk, My House, Potato Needs a Bath and Martha.
  3. When Andy Manley is creating a show for toddlers, he often lies on the ground so that he can experience things from the same height as his audience.

The show on stage is just one act of your family’s visit! Come early and stay late for free lobby activities and kid-friendly amenities—part of the New Victory Experience.

About the Artists

Fan favorite Andy Manley is an award-winning Scottish actor, director and theatermaker who specializes in creating performances for young audiences. From Scottish Opera to Norway’s Teatret Vårt, Andy has created work with artists across the UK and Europe. He co-created and first performed Night Light for the 2017 Edinburgh International Children’s Festival.

For more than 30 years, Teater Refleksion has created acclaimed puppet theater that reflects real life.
