About the Show
¡Celebremos! Let’s celebrate Women’s History Month with sunny songstress and Latin Grammy nominee Sonia De Los Santos (Fiesta, 2019), back at the New Victory with another upbeat and uplifting bilingual concert! Música cheers women who make music and those who inspired Sonia (and her all-female bandmates) to become a musician—or “una música” en español. You’ll dance in and out of your seats as this playful band charts a joyful journey of Latin American rhythms ranging from festejo to cumbia to traditional Mexican folk.
A wonderful listening and learning experience

Things to Know
- This show was created especially for New Victory audiences. Feel free to get up out of your seat and dance along to the music!
- One of Sonia De Los Santos’ favorite instruments to play is the jarana. It’s a traditional guitar from the south of Mexico.
- Algunas de las canciones se cantarán en español. Some of the songs will be sung in Spanish. But don’t worry if you don’t understand all the words—music is a universal language!
The show on stage is just one act of your experience! Come early or stay late for free lobby activities and kid-friendly amenities, and take an at-home New Victory Arts Break.
About the Artists
Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Sonia De Los Santos started touring the world in 2007, singing and playing guitar and jarana with Dan Zanes and Friends. In 2015, she released her first solo album, Mi Viaje: De Nuevo León to the New York Island, and in 2019, she was nominated for a Latin Grammy for her second album, ¡Alegría!, and performed her show Fiesta at the New Victory. Her third album, Esperanza, is a bilingual collection of songs exploring hope.
