Welcome to Create Week as we continue on our trip through Asia. This week, let’s look closer at GRUEJARM’s work as performers and their art form of magic, as well as dip our toes into a bit of magic ourselves.
Fasten your seat belts, friends! For the next couple of weeks we are headed to Asia. This season, we’re visiting artists from all around the world to get to know their craft and their home. As we explore Asia, you might recall a few companies from their time at New Victory.
In this week’s “Connect” New Victory Arts Break, we want to make a special art piece to dedicate to someone we love and give them the gift of performance.
Time to take your theater skills to the next level with a pop of personalization: puppetry and parading!
Let’s look closer at Oily Cart’s work and their ongoing mission to make theater more inclusive with their fun new show, Doorstep Jamboree. We will see their work and create a personalized jamboree look inspired by our favorite textures, smells and feelings!
As we explore Europe, you might recognize some companies from their time at the New Victory. Let’s discover what these artists have been dreaming up this year, and check out some of the cool stuff they have available for you to see, explore and play with online!
In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, New Victory is bringing back the globetrotting Acrobuffos for a virtual showing of their sold-out spectacle, Air Play. Celebrate with us by learning how to make a mini air canon!
To close out our South America journey, we will fly ourselves back home to learn how to share joy and movement with friends and family.
This week, we will learn how to create aerial art in our homes, with our families and even in our New Victory Notebook!
This week, let’s look closer at Brenda Angiel’s work as an aerial dancer, practice some basic weight sharing and learn to tango!
