ATTENDING A PERFORMANCE
From first-time theatergoers to life-long aficionados, everyone is welcome at New Victory shows! Make yourselves at home in our lobbies (newly redesigned as of Fall 2017!), stow your stuff in free storage lockers, and enjoy snacks and more in our Eat & Drink cafe (preview the menu) and merchandise areas. All venues are wheelchair accessible.
Please do not bring backpacks or large bags to the theater. All bags are subject to inspection.
Late Seating policies vary by production. All late seating is at the discretion of the House Managers and is planned in order to cause as minimal amount of disruption as possible for other patrons. Lobby monitors show a live stream of the stage so that you won't miss out on any of the action if you need to leave your seat.
Lost and Found inquiries can be made to our Stage Door receptionist from 10am-6pm every day. Please call 646.223.3020.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Ticket Services representatives will provide info of all sorts (hours listed above) and Ushers are available throughout the theater at all shows, but we've assembled our most Frequently Asked Questions right here. Site search can also help quickly connect you to details about a plethora of New Victory programs.
What's the story behind your age recommendations?
Age recommendations are provided for everything we present. We strongly suggest that you read the show descriptions carefully and take into account the parental consideration notes provided, as well as the show genre and length. The New Victory works with the companies that created the shows to develop age recommendations, while also considering audience feedback during past presentations.
These age recommendations are the youngest advisable age for each show. This doesn't mean, for example, that a show labeled "For everyone 8+" was created for 8-year-olds; rather, 8 is the youngest age we suggest. You know your kid's sensibilities and sensitivities better than anyone, and we know you will use your own knowledge and discretion in deciding what to see. If you have questions, please call 646.223.3010 and we will gladly assist you in the decision-making process.
And those who are forever young at heart are always welcome, with or without a kid!
Help! I lost my tickets/can't use my tickets/need tickets to something marked sold out—what do I do?
Your tickets to upcoming shows are always accessible online via your phone—open our mobile site and find "My Tickets" within the Account section (one-time log in required). For reprints of paper tickets or to request a resend of Print-at-Home tickets, call 646.223.3010.
The New Victory Ticket Exchange Policy is detailed here. Exchanges are free for Members, but must be complete at least 48 hours ahead of the original performance. You also may donate tickets back to us for a tax deduction.
We do create wait lists when productions sell out. Call 646.223.3010 for more information. Alternately, Victory Circle donors have additional ticketing benefits. Contact the Development department to discuss opportunities: 646.223.3082.
Why do I need a ticket for my kid, especially if she'll just sit in my lap?
Due to fire code regulations, everyone attending the performance needs to have a ticket for entry. The house managers have final say on whether or not a kid may sit on a patron's lap once admitted to the theater with a ticket.
What are the 11am weekday performances on this website?
The New Victory partners with the NYC Department of Education to bring 40,000 students to the theater each year. Most performances take place at 11am during the school week, though there are also Afterschool and Summer opportunities. Learn more about all our School Engagement work here.
School performances are not available to the public, but some daytime shows are added during vacation weeks.
Which seats should I pick and what else can I do to make the day great for my family?
The New Victory is a small theater with under 500 seats, so there's really not a bad place to sit. (Take a look with this virtual tour.) Booster seats are available for use in the Orchestra. The Mezzanine and Balcony have a step up between rows (like stadium seating) so that everyone can see more easily. There are fewer than 200 seats in each of the venues at the New 42nd Street Studios and The Duke on 42nd Street.
All patrons have full access to the lobbies, where restrooms, water fountains, free storage lockers, extra seating, concessions and merchandise are available. Show-inspired activities are available online and at the theater. Our Family Engagement program is described here, and icons appear on calendars for events at specific performances.

How do I join your email list? Would you send me a copy of your brochure?
How do I get involved beyond just attending shows?
There are many ways to become part of the New Victory family!
The New 42nd Street and its projects (The New Victory Theater, The Duke on 42nd Street and the New 42nd Street Studios) post information about full-time, part-time and temporary career opportunities on Idealist.org, Playbill.com and other job boards that focus on the arts and nonprofit organizations. Please visit those sites to search for current listings.
Unfortunately, there are no casual volunteer or audition opportunities available.
Will The New Victory support my charitable event?
We are happy to help other family-friendly or arts programs host successful auctions and other fundraisers. In most circumstances, we are able to provide a pair of ticket vouchers.
Mail your auction request on official letterhead detailing the organization name, purpose of the fundraiser, date and time of the event, and the contact person's information. Please address it to: New Victory Auction Request c/o The New 42nd Street, 229 West 42nd Street, 10th Floor, New York, NY 10036.
Please do not submit requests more than six months or less than six weeks in advance of the fundraiser. No phone calls please.
To redeem your ticket voucher, please call Ticket Services at 646.223.3010 or bring your vouchers to the box office.
