Bello Mania
Bello Mania from Sarasota, Florida

Nock Nock. Who's there? Back by popular demand, it's Demetrius Alexandro Claudio Amadeus Bello Nock, the gravity-defying dude with the foot-high hair. Returning to the New Vic stage (and his 44-foot sway pole) in BELLO MANIA, "America's Best Clown" (TIME Magazine) delivers brand new wacky antics and favorite daredevil tricks. Whether you're coming back for more or seeing it for the first time, 2013 Drama Desk nominee BELLO MANIA is bound to be the HIGHlight of your spring break.

"It's hard to imagine anyone, young or old, not having a wonderful time at Bello Mania."

Getting to Know Bello Nock

Bello's personal motto? "No audience member should need more than the edge of his seat!" He's amazed over 40 million people with his live performances over the last decade—and, last year, made his New Victory debut with his first self-produced show. Sold-out houses ooh'd and aah'd, giggled and gasped as he bounced breezily on trampolines, trained invisible dogs and then climbed to higher heights than anyone else in New Victory history. There's no one more daring, more funny, more endearing or more deserving of an encore than Bello.

It seems fitting that Bello calls Sarasota home—the Canopy Walkway in the nearby Myakka River State Park puts you 25 feet above the ground and extends 85 feet through the tree-tops.

The modern circus—equestrian acts, feats of strength/agility and a clown—was created by Philip Astley in 1768 in England.
